Implementation of a Standardized Computer Aided Design Interface for an Isogeometric C++ Library

Isogeometric analysis provides a framework for linking computer aided design and numerical simulation. Geometry representation is realized with NURBS, e.g. shown below, which are also the basis for common CAD programs.
In order to directly perform computations on geometries coming from the CAD program, a standardized interface for file formats must be provided. In the scope of this thesis the interface is supposed to be implemented in the C++ library Bembel, see . www.bembel.eu
